We jumped right into the summer weather with some more yard work. It is amazing how quickly the neighbors came out to greet us. Last year was so busy with many activities out of town that we were unable to do a lot of the work around the yard. This year is much different, and we have slowly been getting to know our neighbors as well. I love it!
The big tree in the back yard was a bit of a pain to mow around so we framed it out with some landscaping blocks and then filled in the new planter with the dirt we dug up for our future patio. Easier said than done. After digging up the area, making sure it was level, and then filling in with sand. We lined up the blocks and then filled behind with gravel and dirt. I would say it was worth the sweat and sore muscles.
