Autumn is here!

The leaves are starting to change, and football season has arrived. This is my favorite time of year. It is not too hot, the leaves turn the bluffs into a beautiful canvas of colors, and my favorite...apple cider!

It is amazing how fast 2010 flew right by us. It all started in May with our wedding, followed by a parade of other weddings. Most of them back to back weekends, and all of them uniquely beautiful in their own way. This summer was a hot one but we were able to enjoy a few weekends camping at what we call the "Yukon" in Spillville, IA. These weekends were filled with good friends, good food, and canoeing. Of course it would not be complete without finding something unique in the river. This one is my favorite.
Yes, we found a prosthetic leg in the river. and it was promptly hung in a tree.

And now, as the wedding and camping season comes to a close I am enjoying a hot cup of coffee on my comfy couch. Enjoying the fact the we have absolutely no where to be. I think our house is happy, as it needs a thorough cleaning! I leave you with a few of my favorite pictures from this spring/summer.

We spent a few days in San Francisco for our honeymoon. We were very lucky and had amazing weather the entire week were were visiting. This is one of my favorite pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge.

While we were in San Francisco we took one day to travel to Napa Valley, CA. We found a company that does wine train tours. They served us amazing food while we took a 3 hour tour up to St. Helena.(sounds like the beginning of a T.V. show to me!)

My dear friend Michelle was married in June. She made such a beautiful bride!

The object of this game is to hit the golf balls onto the sand bar. Amazing, I know. :)

 The veranda.

When it gets too hot we take the lawn chairs for a dip in the Turkey River.

It wouldn't be a camp out without marsh mellows!
